Mitchell, Ingles Square Off In International Exhibition

MELBOURNE, Aus. – The United States national basketball team beat the Australian national team in an exhibition game in Melbourne, Australia 102-86.
The game featured Utah Jazz teammates Donovan Mitchell and Joe Ingles as opponents on the international level as their teams prepare for the 2019 FIBA World Cup of basketball.
Mitchell started for Team USA and played 25 minutes, while posting 13 points, 3 assists, 2 steals and a fantastic block. He shot 6-of-15 from the field, including 1-for-5 from downtown.

Ingles got the start for Australia and had 6 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals, while shooting 2-of-6 from the field and 1-for-4 from the three-point line in 29 minutes.
A pair of former Utes played in the game with Kyle Kuzma dropping 12 points for Team USA and Andrew Bogut chipping in 6 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists for Australia.

Boston Celtics guard Kemba Walker led the United States with 23 points, while San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills and Chris Goulding each scored 19 points for the home team.
These two teams will face each other one more time on Saturday.
