SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Brigham Young University’s women’s volleyball team is likely to continue their dominance in the West Coast Conference after receiving every possible first-place preseason vote from the coaches in the conference.
Coaches can’t vote for their own team in the poll so the Cougars finished with 81 points.
The team has won the last five WCC titles and if the poll offers any foreshadowing they will likely dominate the conference again.

San Diego was picked second in the poll with 71 points.
Four Cougars were named to the preseason all-conference team including senior libero Mary Lake, senior outside hitter McKenna Miller, junior middle blocker Kennedy Eschenberg and sophomore middle blocker Heather Gneiting.
BYU tied with Pepperdine for the most players selected to the preseason all-conference team.
The Cougars kick-off at the BYU Nike Invitational in Provo on August 30. Their first match is against Boise State followed by a match against Utah Valley University.
