Rodriguez Blasts Shot Past Keeper For Royals Third Goal

SANDY, Utah – Shortly after the second half started, Utah Royals FC forward Amy Rodriguez gave the home team a very comfortable lead after scoring a goal against Sky Blue FC.
The goal came in the 48th minute when Mallory Weber ran the ball up the left hand side of the field and played the ball in to the box when Rodriguez one-timed it with her left foot, traveling far post past the goalkeeper to give the Royals a 3-0 lead.
Rodriguez leads the team with six goals on the season.

Weber notched her first assist this season.
Christen Press scored the first two goals in a two minute span in the first half in the 27th and 29th minute.
Utah hasn’t won a match in six straight contests and are in need of a win as they are in seventh place in the NWSL standings, one point behind the Houston Dash for sixth place.
