Jefferson Savarino Equalizes With Beautiful Strike Against NYCFC

SANDY, Utah – After giving up a goal in the first four minutes of the match, Real Salt Lake leveled the game with a beautiful strike by forward Jefferson Savarino.
The goal came in the 37th minute with Marcelo Silva winning a header that landed to Damir Kreilach, who passed to Albert Rusnak.
Rusnak found Kyle Beckerman at the top of the box and he immediately passed to Savarino firing the shot with his left foot past the goalkeeper.

It’s the sixth goal for Savarino on the year to go with his 3 assists in 18 games played.
Beckerman notched his third assist of the season.
Real Salt Lake is currently in the 8th spot in the Western Conference standings, tied on points with the Portland Timbers, who hold the tiebreaker. NYCFC is in fifth place in the Eastern Conference standings, one point behind D.C. United for the fourth spot.
