SANDY, Utah – After trailing 1-0 in the 57th minute, Real Salt Lake tied the match on a goal by Marcelo Silva.
The goal happened in the 71st minute as Jefferson Savarino served the ball into the box from the right side and Silva hit a one-time shot with his right foot into the back of the net.
It’s the second goal of the season for Silva.
It gave RSL a shock of energy after a very uneventful first half with both teams combined for 4 shots and none of them on target.

RSL is hoping to keep the momentum going after a 4-0 dominating victory last week over the Philadelphia Union.
It will be a busy week for RSL as they will face Tigres in the inaugural “Leagues Cup” match at home on Wednesday night. Then they will return to Major League Soccer action on Saturday, July 27 on the road against FC Dallas.
