SANDY, Utah – Utah Royals FC and United States Women’s National Team forward Christen Press leveled the match at one against the Portland Thorn in the first half.
The goal came in the 43rd minute when she dribbled the ball through the Thorn defender’s legs and fired the ball far post and it went past the keeper to level the match.
It’s the second goal this season for Press, who made her first appearance with the Royals after winning her second straight World Cup with the United States.
In France with the national team, Press scored one goal and was a critical part of the success for the USWNT.
