SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah men’s basketball team announced their 2019-20 non-conference schedule.
The Utes will play five games at home at the Jon M. Huntsman Center, one tournament, three neutral site games and one true road contest.
They will begin their campaign against the University of Texas-Tyler in exhibition play on October 30.
Utah will open the regular season on the road against Nevada on Tuesday, November 5. It will be the first season opener away from home since 1995 when the Utes faced Kansas in a neutral court game in Kansas City. It marks the first true-road season-opening matchup since 1976 when the Utes played Weber State in Ogden. Utah will face the Wolfpack for the 10th time in program history. They lost at home when Nevada was ranked No. 6, 86-71 on December 29, 2018. That was Utah’s first ever loss to Nevada.
