SANDY, Utah – After scoring in the first half, Real Salt Lake forward Jefferson Savarino scored his second goal in fantastic fashion to give RSL a 2-0 lead over the Philadelphia Union.
Savarino’s second goal came in the 71st minute when Kyle Beckerman set him up with a pass that led to a beautiful strike just outside the 18-yard box that went far post past Blake to give RSL the 2-0 lead.
It’s the fifth goal of the season for the Venezuelan, who is making his second appearance with RSL since returning from international duty at the Copa America Tournament.

Beckerman picked up his second assist of the season.
RSL is hoping to bounce back from a disappointing loss last week on the road against the San Jose Earthquakes, when they gave up a goal in the final moments of the match to lose 1-0.
The Union hold a four point lead over D.C. United for the top spot on the Eastern Conference table.
