SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – According to Eric Woodyard of the Deseret News, former Utah Jazz point guard Raul Neto will sign a one-year deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Neto was waived by the Jazz on July 1 and is expected to sign with the Sixers on July 6. He is expected to sign a veteran minimum contract.

He was picked 47th overall in the 2013 NBA draft by the Atlanta Hawks and traded to the Jazz. Over his 4-year career in Salt Lake, Neto averaged 4.8 points in 14.2 minuted per game.

Neto started 54 games for the Jazz.

Waiving Neto created cap space for the team to complete the Mike Conley trade.

The Jazz acquired Mike Conley from the Memphis Grizzlies in exchange for Jae Crowder, Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver, the 23rd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and a future first-round pick.
