SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – There were some positives to take away from the Jazz’s 85-68 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on the first night of the Salt Lake City Summer League.

The first one was the performance by Tony Bradley, he led the team with 14 points, 15 rebounds and 2 blocks on 6-for-12 shooting from the field in 25 minutes of play.

It’s a big summer for Bradley as he tries to crack Quin Snyder’s rotation during the 2019-20 season.

Second round draft pick Jarrell Brantley chipped in 11 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists while committing 8 fouls. Players can’t foul out in Summer League. He shot 5-for-11 from the field in 27 minutes.

Fellow second rounder Justin Wright-Foreman struggled in his NBA debut with 6 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 3 steals, while hitting 3-of-14 from the field.

Miye Oni also struggled as he scored just two points without connecting on any field goals to go with his 4 rebounds and 2 steals.

The Jazz got off to a slow start as the Grizzlies outscored them 24-17 in the first quarter and 20-18 in the second quarter to trail 44-35 at the halftime break.

Utah played better in the third quarter by scoring 19 points and holding Memphis to 17 but the Grizzlies went on a 13-1 run to start the fourth quarter and the Jazz couldn’t recover.

Julian Washburn and Yuta Watanabe each scored 20 points to lead Memphis, while Ivan Rabb added 14 points.
