SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The newest backcourt for the Utah Jazz in Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley are already building their chemistry before the 2019-20 by working out together.
Reports of the Conley trade came out on June 19 with the Memphis Grizzlies sending Conley to the Jazz in exchange for Kyle Korver, Jae Crowder, Grayson Allen, the 23rd pick in last week’s NBA Draft and a future first round pick.
The Jazz were in need of an upgrade at the point guard position and they got that in Conley.
The newest Jazz player posted on his Instagram page of him and Mitchell. He is also wearing a Jazz shirt.
Conley has already changed his profile picture to him in a Jazz uniform and his bio on Instagram says “husband and father. O-H! & #TakeNote. PG for the Utah Jazz.
He did the same thing on Twitter.
The trade cannot be finalized until July 6 when the new league year begins.
Mitchell has been busy with Adidas with his new signature shoe being released on July 5.
Conley averaged a career-best 21 points per game last season to go with 6 assists with the Grizzlies. He played the first 12 seasons of his career in Memphis.
