Former Ute Dakarai Tucker To Play For Phoenix Suns Summer League Team

PHOENIX, Ariz. – Now that the NBA Draft has concluded, the teams are putting together their rosters for Summer League. Former Ute Dakarai Tucker will be playing for the Phoenix Suns.
The Suns will play in the Las Vegas Summer League and will play their first game against the Denver Nuggets on July 5.
Phoenix drafted Cameron Johnson from North Carolina with the 11th pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and Virginia guard Ty Jerome with the 24th pick.

Tucker played for the Utes from 2012-15, averaging 6.4 points per game, but has really improved his game since his time at Utah as he has been playing in the G-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers. He averaged 13 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.6 assists on 43 percent shooting from the field and 38 percent from downtown in 49 games with 22 starts.
He played one game for the Salt Lake City Stars during the 2016-17 season and scored 6 points.
Tucker joins former Ute Sedrick Barefield on NBA Summer League rosters as Barefield will play for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
