SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After considering retirement when the Jazz were eliminated from the NBA Playoffs by the Houston Rockets, 16-year veteran Kyle Korver has decided to play one or two more seasons before he calls it a career.
Korver currently has one more season left on his current contract, but was included in a trade to Memphis along with Grayson Allen, Jae Crowder, the 23rd pick in Thursday’s NBA Draft and a future first round pick in exchange for 12-year veteran point guard Mike Conley.
New York Times NBA reporter Marc Stein reported the return of Korver for his 17th NBA season.
Kyle Korver said after the season that he would mull retirement but one source with knowledge of his thinking said today that Korver, 38, is likely to play another season and maybe even two

Once the trade was reported and players and fans were reacting to the news, many think that the Grizzlies will not keep Korver and will either release him or buyout his contract and allow the sharpshooter to become a free agent.
The likely destination for Korver is to reunite with Cleveland Cavaliers teammate LeBron James, who will enter his second season with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers don’t have many players on their roster after trading for New Orleans Pelicans star Anthony Davis, Korver would be a great fit with the Lakers.
Korver just finished his second stint with the Jazz after Utah acquired him early last season from the Cleveland Cavaliers in exchange for Alec Burks.
