BYU Announces Gameday Improvements To LaVell Edwards Stadium

PROVO, Utah – The atmosphere at BYU’s LaVell Edwards Stadium will be getting major upgrades for the 2019 season.
The university announced the introduction of a brand new element to gamedays that will be known as Cougar Canyon. The area, located directly west of the stadium, will be home to a number of pregame activities that will bring a new excitement to being at a BYU football game.
The area will include inflatable playgrounds, an autograph section, food trucks and merchandise sales locations. Cougar Canyon will also feature the Cougar Walk, where fans can line up and greet the football team as they enter the stadium two and a half hours before kickoff.
Beginning with the season opener on Aug. 29, BYU will introduce a new game day fan experience for home football games at LaVell Edwards Stadium called Cougar Canyon.

Other improvements to the stadium include the completion of construction that will connect the mezzanine levels, the addition of restrooms for both men, women and families, and increased Wi-Fi connectivity.
BYU fans will get their first look at the new atmosphere at LaVell Edwards Stadium on Aug. 29 when the Cougars host in-state rival Utah in the season opener.
