SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Following Game 6 of the NBA Finals, which saw the Toronto Raptors defeat the two-time defending champion Golden State Warriors to win their first NBA title, Utah Jazz star center Rudy Gobert gave fans something to look forward to.
A Jazz fan sent a tweet to Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell about wanting the Jazz to win an NBA championship so bad.
Gobert saw the tweet and said two words that will make fans in Salt Lake City excited about the future, “it’s coming.”

It took 24 years for the Raptors to win their first NBA title and bringing the Larry O’Brien trophy back to Canada.
The previous night, the St. Louis Blues won their first Stanley Cup in franchise history after 52 years of being in the league.
The New Orleans and soon to be Utah Jazz started in 1974 and are still searching for their first NBA title in their 45-year history.
Only 11 franchises in sports among the four major professional leagues in the U.S. have waited longer than the Jazz for their first championship. The longest drought is the Minnesota Vikings, who haven’t won a Super Bowl in their history, dating back to 1961.
