SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles, like the rest of the world, is a huge fan of Kodi Lee, the 22-year old who became an internet sensation for his performance on America’s Got Talent.
Lee, who lived in Tooele as youth, appeared on the nationally-televised talent show on Tuesday night and wowed the celebrity judges, in-person audience and those who saw the video clip later with his amazing singing and piano-playing performance.
The performance was especially tender due as his mother escorted him to the stage prior to his song and explained that Lee was both blind and autistic.

Ingles revealed during this last season that his son, Jacob, had been diagnosed with autism. The Jazz rallied around Ingles and his family and helped the Australian-born fan favorite bring awareness to the disability by hosting an Autism Awareness Night.
That night, several members of the Jazz, including Ingles, wore specially designed autism awareness shoes which were auctioned off for charity. On the special night, Ingles also had a great performance with 11 points, 14 assists and nine rebounds in a win over the Los Angeles Lakers.
After seeing the viral video of Lee’s performance, Ingles quote-tweeted the clip and added his own appreciation for the incredible moment.
“Wow!! Kodi Lee you are a superstar,” wrote Ingles.
