SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – On the second episode of “The Hallowed Grounds” with Tom Hackett, Tony and Gipper Finau’s former caddy Toa Afo faced Hackett for a chance at a $100 gift card to Unita Golf or a $500 range finder from Bushnell.
Afo has been a part of the Nationwide circuits, the Web.com Tour, European and PGA Tour events.
They faced off at hole No. 1 at Willow Creek Country Club, which Afo defeated Hackett. He decided to press his luck and play closest to the pin for the range finder.
Finau’s former caddy was closest to the pin and was awarded the range finder and becomes the first winner on the Hallowed Grounds.
Equipment Tip Of The Week
Uinta Golf Store Manager Chris Nugent joined Hackett to give some tips on fitting clubs. Fitting a driver for a golfer takes about 45 minutes, fitting a set of irons will take about an hour while a full bag takes around an hour and a half.
Pro Tip Of The Week
Head Professional at Willow Creek Country Club Carl Sarahs gave tips on how to properly putt. The key is the face of the putter, which determines where the ball starts. Sarahs wants you to stay focused on the target as long as you can and have the face of the putter pointed at the target at all times.
