QUEENS, N.Y. – Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell was having some fun during his off-season being back home in New York.
Mitchell was doing some batting practice at Citi Field wearing a customized Mets jersey when he hit the ball all the way to the wall and was nearly a home run.
His father is the Director of Player Relations for the Mets.

Mitchell grew up playing baseball as well as basketball but in high school before committing to just basketball during his junior and senior seasons in high school.
He wears No. 45 to show his appreciation for Michael Jordan, who wore the number as a baseball player and early on in his comeback to basketball after playing for the Chicago White Sox.
The soon-to-be third year NBA veteran will be having a busy off-season traveling around the world to promote his signature shoe with Adidas.
Who else can drop 46 and hit dingers? Your favorite player could never. 💣💪 @spidadmitchell pic.twitter.com/QmZqdQHVGA
