CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Amy Rodriguez scored another goal for the Royals, this time it was in the seventh minute to give Utah a 1-0 lead over the North Carolina Courage.
Rodriguez was found by Gunnhildur Jonsdottir as she connected with Veronica Bouquete as she pass a through ball to Rodriguez, who barely put a foot on it as the ball crawled into the goal.
She found the back of the net for the third goal in her fifth game played this season.
Two players in the NWSL have more goals than Rodriguez as both Crystal Dunn of the Courage and Sam Kerr of the Chicago Red Stars each have four goals this season.
