MIAMI, Flor. – Former Utah defensive end Nate Orchard has found a new NFL home. The 2014 first team All-Pac-12 selection was signed this week by the Miami Dolphins.

In a related move, former Utah offensive lineman Issac Asiata was waived and placed on injured reserve by the Dolphins after two seasons with the team.

It’s the fifth team of Orchard’s career and the second of this current NFL offseason. He was signed by the Seattle Seahawks in April and released on May 10th.

Orchard was originally drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He was released by Cleveland in 2018 and signed by the Buffalo Bills. He was with the Bills for a short time before being released and signed by the Kansas City Chiefs before being released after a month.

Before starring at Utah, Orchard was a standout at Highland High.

The Dolphins will begin their 2019 season with a preseason contest against the Atlanta Falcons on Aug. 8.
