Damian Lillard Struggles In Blazers Loss to Warriors

OAKLAND, Calif. – Despite scoring a team-high 19 points, former Weber State star Damian Lillard shot 4-for-12 from the field in their 116-94 loss to the Golden State Warriors in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals.
He posted 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 turnovers, while hitting 9-for-9 from the free-throw-line to go with his scoring.
Lillard finished with 7 points at the end of the first quarter on 2-of-4 shooting from the field, the Blazers were down by four at the end of the period.
About three minutes into the second quarter, Lillard tweaked his hamstring, but continued to play through it. He recorded 5 points in 6 minutes of the second quarter as the Warriors held a nine point lead at the half.

Playing in all 12 minutes of the third quarter, Lillard had just two points on 1-of-5 shooting but the Blazers picked him up and had a good quarter.
In the fourth quarter, he ended with 5 points on just two shot attempts.
Maurice Harkless and C.J. McCollum scored 17 points apiece. For the Warriors, Stephen Curry had 36 points on 9-of-15 shooting from downtown. Klay Thompson added 26 points.
Lillard had 13 points on 3-for-17 from the field in the Blazers Game 7 win over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.
The Warriors lead the series 1-0. Game 2 will be on Thursday at 7 p.m. on ESPN.
