COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – Filling in for Nick Rimando can be a tall task, but Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Andrew Putna showed up big time with a huge save on Colorado Rapids penalty kick.
After a penalty by RSL’s Donny Toia, Colorado’s best scorer, Kei Kamara, was given a penalty kick and a chance to re-tie the game up at 3-all.
He fired his shot near the middle of the frame, but Putna who dove to his right, was able to get a leg on the ball and prevented it from crossing the line.

It was the first missed penalty kick of the year for Kamara, who had cashed in on all three previous attempts this season.
Not only was RSL without Rimando, but fellow franchise player Kyle Beckerman was also held out of the game.
RSL came into the game, seeking to not be the first time to lose to winless Colorado this season.
The match between RSL and Colorado can be streamed live on KSLSports.com and the KSL TV app.
