COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – Just before halftime, the Colorado Rapids cut Real Salt Lake’s lead in half with a goal that came after poor defense by RSL.
After Colorado’s Kei Kamara and Jon Lewis broke through the RSL defense with a series of strong passes, RSL’s Justen Glad got a toe on the ball, leaving it primed for a boot right in the middle of the box.
Kellyn Acosta was trailing the play and moved up to take the opportune shot and buried it to prevent the clean sheet by RSL. At halftime, RSL led 2-1.
45+3' – GOOOOALLLLLLLL!!!!
Great combo play from @keikamara and @jon_lewis710 leads to @KellynAcosta getting his first goal of 2019 and we're back in it!
