COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – A minute after Real Salt Lake’s Albert Rusnak scored to give his team a 1-0 lead against the Colorado Rapids, Corey Baird scored to double the advantage.
In the 26th minute, Rusnak buried a penalty kick attempt that came after Bofo Saucedo was fouled inside the box.
Almost immediately after, Baird, the 2018 MLS Rookie of the Year, scored on a nice touch after collecting a long breakout pass from a teammate.

It was Baird’s first goal of the season.
RSL’s 2-0 lead should be helpful as they seek to avoid being the first team to lose to Colorado this season.
Longtime franchise cornerstones, Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman are both out due to injures for RSL.
The match between RSL and Colorado can be streamed live on KSLSports.com and the KSL TV app.
