Sky View Defeats Desert Hills For 4A State Title

SANDY, Utah – The Sky View Bobcats took down Desert Hills 1-0 to claim the 4A Boys Soccer State Championship at Rio Tinto Stadium.
The goal by Tate Thurston in the 65th minute on a deflected shot that was rebounded and scored. It was enough to give the Bobcats their first state championship since 2004.
Sky View was the No. 1-seed from Region 12, while Desert Hills was the 2018 state champions and the region 9 No. 1-seed this season.
The Bobcats had to beat region 10 No. 4-seed Spanish Fork 4-1 in the first round, region 9 No. 2-seed Dixie 2-0 and a 1-0 win over region 10 No. 1-seed Mountain View to get to the state championship.
