Weber State Softball Earns Big Sky Tournament Title

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – With a 8-0 clubbing of Northern Colorado, the Weber State softball team won the Big Sky Conference tournament and punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament.
The game was essentially over soon after it began as the Wildcats took a 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
By the end of the title game, the Wildcats had added a pair of insurance runs and coasted to an easy victory.

Addie Jensen picked the win in the circle for Weber State, giving up just four hits in her time pitching the ball.
Faith Hoe, who had been honored as the conference’s Freshman of the Year, was named the tournament’s MVP after going 6-for-11 with three RBIs, two doubles and four runs in the postseason.
Hoe was also named to the all-tournament team, along with Jensen, Landi Hawker and Chloe Camarero.

The Wildcats, who finished with a overall record of 25-19 and a conference record of 14-2, will learn their NCAA tournament fate on Sunday.
