PROVO, Utah – The student athletes at BYU were given high marks for their academic success according to APR, a measuring tool used by the NCAA.
The NCAA mandates that each team in a school’s athletic department receive a minimum score of 930 on the APR system. All 23 of BYU’s sports teams scored above that mark, with the men’s cross country team receiving a perfect score of 1,000. The women’s cross country team nearly had a perfect score with a 997.
The football team’s score of 946, while above the NCAA minimum, was the lowest score of any in-state football team.
