Judge Memorial To Face Summit Academy In 3A State Championship

DRAPER, Utah – Only four teams in the 3A High School Boys Soccer State Tournament remain with a chance to play for a state championship at Rio Tinto Stadium.
Region 13 No. 1-seed Summit Academy knocked off region 14 No. 6-seed Union 4-0 in the first round and a 2-1 quarterfinal win over region 14 No. 2-seed Maeser Prep Academy. They will face fellow region foe in No. 4-seed South Summit, who eliminated region 14 No. 3-seed Providence Hall 2-1 in the first round and a 3-2 win over region 15 No. 1-seed Grand County in the quarterfinals.
The other two teams include region 14 No. 1-seed American Leadership Academy, who beat region 15 No. 6-seed South Sevier 8-0 in the opening round and a 2-1 quarterfinal round win over region 13 No. 3-seed Morgan. They will square off with region 13 No. 2-seed Judge Memorial, who eliminated region 15 No. 5-seed Richfield 8-0 and scored another 8 goals in an 8-2 win over region 15 No. 2-seed Manti in the quarterfinals.

Region 13 No. 1-seed Summit Academy 1 vs. Region 13 No. 4-seed South Summit 0
Summit Academy scored the lone goal of the match as Omar Khan found the back of the net from 30-yards out.
The Bears will face Judge Memorial at Rio Tinto Stadium on Friday at 4 p.m. for the 3A State Championship.
Region 14 No. 1-seed American Leadership Academy 1 vs. Region 13 No. 2-seed Judge Memorial 4
Judge picked up a goal as American Leadership committed an own goal. In the 24th minute, Jack Terrill scores for the Bulldogs on a wide open look. American Leadership scored in the second half before Joseph Valle scores to give Judge the 3-1 lead. Joe Paul scored his second goal of the game in the second half to stretch the lead to 4-1.
Judge Memorial will face Summit Academy in the 3A State Championship at Rio Tinto Stadium on Friday at 4 p.m.
