LOS ANGELES, Calif. – With Mother’s Day around the corner, former Weber State and current Los Angeles Chargers Linebacker Tre Johnson is going to help out two mothers for the holiday.
Johnson is going to pay some bills for two mothers that are nominated by his Twitter followers.
“I am doing this because as a society and as a group of people take our mothers for granted,” Johnson said. “We don’t really understand how much that they do and how hard it is on them,” he added.
Johnson is beginning to understand parenthood as he is married and has a child. He has also done a lot to help his mother as well because he acknowledges everything she does for him.
“I want to give back to those moms and give them a little help,” Johnson mentioned.

Johnson is encouraging people to retweet his post with the video and tag a mother who they think is deserving or share the YouTube video.
The West Valley City native finished his first season with the Los Angeles Chargers, collecting 3 tackles in four games played. At Weber State, Johnson was named second team All-Big Sky in 2015 and was selected to the first team in 2016.
