SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – This last season was one of the most anticipated in Utah Jazz history and the final local NBA TV ratings showed that tons of fans were tuning in to watch.
According to research done by SportsBusinessDaily.com, the Jazz had the highest rating ever in 2019, dating back to 2003 with an average rating of 6.6.
Ahead of Utah were the Golden State Warriors and the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Brooklyn Nets had the lowest rating in the league.
Jazz fans were there to greet the players after their return from Houston. And it meant a lot.

The Jazz also had the third-highest growth rate with an increase rating change of 35 percent. Only the Dallas Mavericks and Denver Nuggets had a bigger increase. Unsurprisingly, the Cleveland Cavaliers had the biggest decrease, more than likely due to the loss of superstar LeBron James to the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency prior to the start of the season.
The Jazz finished the regular season with a 50-32 record and obtained the fifth seed in the Western Conference playoffs. They were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs by the Houston Rockets in five games. Utah’s games are shown locally on AT&T SportsNet.
