LOS ANGELES, Calif. – RSL was subpar in the first half, but went into the second half with energy and created multiple chances with defender Donny Toia putting away his first goal of the season to tie the match at one goal apiece with the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Toia was on the positive end of a rebound where Aaron Herrera had his shot deflected by LA Galaxy goalkeeper David Bingham, but Toia was on the left side of the goal and put the ball away. It was a big momentum swinging goal as RSL was playing a great second half and was rewarded with a goal to level the match in the 64th minute.
It gave Real a chance to leave LA with one point, which would be huge since the Galaxy have won six of their first eight matches this season.
