Utah OL Jackson Barton Heading To Indianapolis

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The final player from the state of Utah to get drafted was former Utah offensive lineman Jackson Barton as he was selected in the seventh round, 240th overall.
Barton is the fifth player from the University of Utah to get drafted in 2019. Marquise Blair in the second round and Jackson’s brother Cody are going to Seattle. Mitch Wishnowsky went to the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round and Matt Gay to the Tampa Buccaneers in the fifth round.
Two other players from in-state schools were drafted in Sione Takitaki from BYU to the Cleveland Browns in the third round and Utah State running back Darwin Thompson was taken by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Barton was a first team All-Pac-12 player this past season for the Utes.
