SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Just a few picks into the third day and fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft and Utah Punter Mitch Wishnowsky is off the board as he was selected 110th overall in the fourth round by the San Francisco 49ers.
Wishnowsky is the third Ute selected in the Draft and the fourth player from the state of Utah to be picked.
Wishnowsky is a three-time All-American and was a finalist for the Ray Guy Award three times, which is awarded to the best punter in college football. The Australian took home the award in 2016.
He joins former Utes Marquise Blair and Cody Barton, who were both selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the second and third round respectively. Former BYU linebacker Sione Takitaki was picked by the Cleveland Browns in the third round.
His 8,004 punting yards in his career is sixth in school history.
