Jazz Take Largest Lead Of Series In First Quarter

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – In the opening period Game 4, an elimination game for the Utah Jazz, they got off to a great start with their season on the line.
The Houston Rockets lead the series 3-0.
With 3:03 left in the first quarter, the Jazz took their largest lead of the series with a 30-16 advantage. After the quarter ended, Utah had a 32-24 lead.
Jae Crowder provided the spark for Utah with 14 points in the opening period. Ricky Rubio added 11 points before joining Crowder on the bench for a rest.
Utah had a solid first quarter in Game 3 with a 30-28 lead, but Game 4 was the best yet.

The Jazz shot 11-for-22 from the field, including 4-of-8 from downtown.
Chris Paul and P.J. Tucker led the Rockets with six points apiece in the opening quarter.
Jazz head coach Quin Snyder put an emphasis going into the game to get off to a great start and keeping the momentum on their side.
