SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Midway through the second quarter, the game was even between the Utah Jazz and the Houston Rockets in Game 3 of the Western Conference first round series. Royce O’Neale fired up the Jazz fans at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
Utah was leading 41-40 with five minutes left in the second quarter, O’Neale made a momentum swinging play that began with a steal from James Harden, where he jumped up in the air to snatch the lob from Harden like a cornerback in football.
Once O’Neale picked off the pass, he went in transition with Harden as the only defender to beat. As he approached Harden, he put the ball behind his back to shake the defender and finished with a two-handed dunk.
O’Neale scored his first two points in eight minutes played to that point to go with one rebound and hitting his first field goal in four attempts.
