SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – It’s NBA playoffs time in Utah and the corner of 300 West and South Temple in downtown Salt Lake City is the best place to be to get in the mood.
On one corner, the Utah Jazz held their traditional playoff party festivities near the main entrance at Vivint Smart Home Arena. The scene was electric as hundreds, if not thousands of Jazz fans converged to celebrate the team’s home games in the postseason.
Attractions included a colorable mural painted on a van, video games with Jazz Gaming and other Jazz playoff themed fun.

KSL Sports also got in on the party business by hosting a fan gathering just across the street from the arena, complete with games of cornhole, face-painting and pizza.
The face-painting was particularly big hit with fans. One fan even got the Jazz note logo stenciled on his forehead.

“I’m pretty bald so there’s a lot of surface area,” laughed the fan, Ryan Jeffery.
Jeffery was not only at the arena to celebrate the Jazz’s playoff appearance, but also to celebrate his birthday with his wife, Janetta.
For the couple, there was no better place to be.
“I think the playoffs are an awesome atmosphere. I don’t even come to that many regular season games but I’ll always try to come to a playoff game. Does that make me a bad fan? Maybe I’m a bad fan because of that but this is so fun to be here for playoffs,” said Jeffery.
