NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. – Former Utah women’s basketball star Megan Huff has been drafted by the WNBA’s New York Liberty.
The Liberty drafted Huff with the 26th overall pick in the third round of the WNBA Draft, held at Nike New York headquarters.

Huff was one of the most dominant players in the Pac-12 Conference averaging 19.6 points and 9.9 rebounds per game. She was one of the main driving forces behind Utah’s 20-10 record in the 2018-19 season. For her efforts she was named to the first-team All-Pac-12 squad.
“We are so proud of Megan,” said Utah head coach Lynne Roberts. “In my talking with a lot of teams in the WNBA in the last month, everyone is aware of her huge upside. The New York Liberty is getting a tremendous talent with so much potential to grow. We are proud of her and we are so happy to have another Ute in the league.”
The Utes started the season strong with a 18-1 record to begin the year and rose to as high as No. 14 in the national polls. Unfortunately, the team was heavily depleted due to injuries and ended the season losing 9 of its final 11 games.
The WNBA season will begin on May 10.
