Wade, Nowitzki Play Final Home Games

MIAMI, Flo. & DALLAS, Texas – The Miami Heat and Dallas Mavericks sent out their two star players, ending eras with their organizations. Dwyane Wade announced before the 2018-19 season that he was retiring after the season, while Dirk Nowitzki announced after their final home game on Tuesday that he was calling it a career.
Wade played his last game in Miami on Tuesday, helping the Heat to a 122-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. The Heat have been eliminated from playoff contention.
Nowitzki had his last game in Dallas as the Mavericks beat the Phoenix Suns 120-109.
Coincidentally, Nowitzki and Wade both scored 30 points in their games. Nowitzki went 11-for-31 from the field, while Wade went 10-for-23 shooting.
Wade spent 15 years of his 17-year career with the Miami Heat. The likely first ballot Hall of Famer won three NBA titles, including one Finals MVP. Wade is a 13-time NBA All-Star, 2010 All-Star Game MVP and an 8-time All-NBA selection.

Nowitzki spent 21 seasons with the Dallas Mavericks and will also most definitely be a first ballot Hall of Famer. He has a long list of accolades that includes an NBA MVP, and championship, a Finals MVP, 12-time All-NBA selection, 14-time All-Star and is ranked sixth on the NBA’s All-Time scoring list.
