SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Warriors professional rugby team has extended a classy offer to displaced Salt Lake Stallions fans.

The Stallions recently closed their doors after the Alliance of American Football announced that it would be suspending operations. In response, the Warriors are offering free tickets to their game on Friday to all Stallions fans.

“We believe it is a welcoming offer to sports fans who just lost their team,” said Warriors CEO Kimball Kjar in a press release posted on Twitter. “Given that rugby is the father of football, we felt it was the right thing to do in the tradition of rugby.”

The Warriors game on Friday against the Seattle Seawolves is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Zions Bank Stadium in Herriman.
