Gobert Sets Jazz Season Record For Double-Doubles

PHOENIX, Ariz. – It’s official, no Utah Jazz player has ever had as many points and rebounds double-doubles in a season as center Rudy Gobert.
In a 118-97 win against the Phoenix Suns, Gobert turned in 17 points and 13 rebounds to complete his 63rd double-double of the season, the most in a season in franchise. The mark surpasses Karl Malone’s 62 points and rebounds double-doubles in the 1987-88 season.

The French big man had already set an NBA record for slam dunks in a single season.
The fifth year pro was honored as the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year last season and has shown significant strides in his offensive game this year. He’s averaging a career high this year in points and rebounds with 15.7 points to go along with 12.9 boards per game.
The Jazz won 118-97 over the Suns.
