SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – KSLSports.com’s Bracket of Movies continues with a second round matchup of the 3 and 19 seeds.
No. 3 Field of Dreams defeated No. 30 The Longest Yard in the first round. The 1989 film starred Kevin Costner and James Earl Jones about an Iowa corn farmer, hearing voices, interprets them as a command to build a baseball diamond in his fields; he does, and the 1919 Chicago White Sox come.
No. 19 A League of their Own beat No. 14 Chariots of Fire in the opening round. Tom Hanks, Geena Davis and Lori Petty starred in the 1992 film about two sisters who join the first female professional baseball league and struggle to help it succeed amidst their own growing rivalry.
