SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert set the record for most dunks in a NBA season not too long ago. Against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, the big man added to his impressive total with a sweet alley-oop jam on a pass from Ricky Rubio.
Coming into the game against the Hornets, Gobert had already totaled a record breaking 280 slams. Near the end of the second quarter, on his fourth dunk of the game, Gobert took a high pass from Rubio and threw it down over his head with his back to the basket.

Gobert is also known as one of the fiercest defenders in the league and was honored as the NBA’s Defensive Player of the Year last season. This year, he’s averaging 15.7 points with 12.9 assists per game.
Led by Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, the Jazz had won nine of their last 10 games going into the matchup with the Hornets.
