SANDY, Utah – After a poor start to the match against FC Dallas, things went from bad to worse for Real Salt Lake.
Following an aggressive moment between RSL’s Damir Kreilach and FC Dallas’ Carlos Gruezo, in which it appeared the Gruezo may have landed a foot near Kreilach’s inner thigh, Kreilach stood up and took issue with the play. He angrily confronted Gruezo and made contact forehead-to-forehead. Gruezo sold the headbutt and Kreilach was given a red card.
Damir Kreilach was sent off for "violent conduct" (embellished by Gruezo). That's now 4 red cards for #RSL in the last 3 games. They didn't have a single red card in the entire 2018 season.#RSLvFCD #MLS pic.twitter.com/ruUE55yMni

It was a nightmare opening to the game for RSL. Prior to drawing the red card against Kreilach in the 16th minute, Gruezo made the home team pay by scoring in the opening minute of the match.
