SANDY, Utah – It was the worst possible start to the game for Real Salt Lake. Within the first minute of action, FC Dallas scored to take an early 1-0 lead.
Just 45 seconds into the game, FC Dallas midfielder Carlos Gruezo took a pass from a teammate and blasted a shot past RSL’s Nick Rimando to give his team an extremely early advantage.

So far this season, RSL has had trouble in terms of goal differential. Gruezo’s goal was the ninth goal allowed this year. RSL has only found the back of the net three times in 2019.
