Real Salt Lake Looks For Win Against FC Dallas

SANDY, Utah – Real Salt Lake returns to Rio Tinto Stadium for only the second time this season as they await to host FC Dallas this Saturday, a talented team who currently sits in 4th spot in the Western Conference.
A much needed three points are needed for RSL after back to back losses. Fortunately, the returning trio of Corey Baird, Albert Rusnak and Sam Johnson are all available for selection after missing last week due to international duty, while Marcelo Silva and Jefferson Savarino both sat out last week due to red card suspension and will be available this week.
What To Expect
Goals. Expect plenty of goals. Real Salt Lake have conceded eight goals thus far this season and scored three, whereas FC Dallas has scored five and conceded three.
After last week’s effort against LAFC and the return of key players, expect RSL to play with energy and confidence against FC Dallas this weekend.
"We set a standard".

Coaching Against Friends
Mike Petke and FC Dallas head coach Luchi Gonzalez have quite the history with one and other. During the 2005 and 2006 seasons, both Petke and Gozalez were teammates while playing at the Colorado Rapids. Bragging rights are certainly on the line.
Bad Blood
Tony Beltran has yet to see the pitch this season for Real Salt Lake, and he might not see it this weekend either. However that will not stop RSL players from remembering the challenge in which Domonique Badji tore Beltran’s knee apart and put him on the sideline for 13 months.
Domonique Badji has yet to apologize to Beltran.
FC Dallas
FC Dallas’s only loss came in week 3 at the Columbus Crew in which they lost 1-0.
Columbian internation, Michael Barrios is the player to watch for FC Dallas this week. The small, agile and explosive attacking midfielder is one of the more dangerous players in Major League Soccer. Barrios currently leads all scorers for Dallas with two.
The back four for FCD is also very stout. Experience and leadership is always key in making a solid and strong defensive back line and Dallas possess everything required to stop opposition teams from scoring. Last week against the Colorado Rapids, left back Ryan Hollingshead scored the game winner in the 82nd minute. Much like RSL, the full backs for FCD will fly up and down the wing awaiting for the right opportunity to get involved in the attack, much like the fullbacks for Real Salt Lake.
