Jazz Clinch 2019 Playoff Appearance

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Thanks to losses Thursday night by the LA Clippers and the Sacramento Kings, the Utah Jazz have officially clinched a spot in the 2019 NBA Playoffs.
The Clippers, who punched their ticket to the playoffs earlier in the week, lost 128-118 to the Milwaukee Bucks and the Kings fell to the Pelicans 121-118 thus allowing Utah to seal its postseason fate despite having the night off.
As it stands now, the Jazz, with a record of 45-30 on the season currently sit in fifth place in the Western Conference. They are 2.5 games behind the Portland Trail Blazers and Houston Rockets, who are tied for third currently.

After a convincing win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday, the Jazz are now riding a three game winning streak with seven games to play in the regular. Five of their seven remaining games are against teams who will more than likely miss the playoffs, so it’s entirely possible that the Jazz could win out the regular season. Doing so would give them a final record of 52-30, the best mark yet under head coach Quin Snyder.
The Jazz’s playoff seeding and opponent is still very much up in the air.
