LAFC Scores In Stoppage Time To Bury Real Salt Lake

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Real Salt Lake goalkeeper Nick Rimando didn’t have a chance at making a save as LAFC scored a huge, heartbreaking goal in stoppage time to steal a point from RSL.
In the 92nd minute, LAFC’s Walker Zimmerman fired a shot from outside the box that deflected off the leg of RSL’s Erik Holt and sailed just under the crossbar to break what was a 1-1 tie.
All Rimando could do was watch as the ball took a crazy spin coming off the shin of Holt and into the net.

Up to that point, RSL had been playing well despite being severely shorthanded going into the game.
RSL struck first in the game on a penalty kick by Damir Kreilach in the 35th minute.
