CHICAGO, Ill. – Just more one slam and Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert will have the NBA single season dunk record.
Coming into the game against the Chicago Bulls, Gobert had 262 dunks on the season. By throwing down seven jams in a 114-83 blowout win over the Bulls, the Frenchman tied Dwight Howard’s record of 269 dunks set in the 2008-09 season.
Gobert accomplished the feat in just 73 games.

The reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year was in race with Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo for the top spot on the leader and passed the Greek Freak due to the Bucks superstar missing a number of games this year.
Antetokounmopo has thrown down 253 times in 63 games this season.
In the 31-point win over the Bulls, Gobert registered his 58th double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. He also rejected four shots.
