ATLANTA, Ga – Although his team was on the wrong side of a 117-113 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell still made it a night to remember for a young woman at the game.
After the game, the Jazz superstar presented a check for a $25,000 scholarship to Naja Brooks, the daughter of his fourth grade teacher. The scholarship was given in partnership with Mitchell’s foundation, SPIDACARES as well as Foot Locker and Adidas.

It’s just the latest act of kindness for Mitchell, who also gifted Brooks his shoes prior to the game.
The partnership between Mitchell, this foundation, Foot Locker and Adidas is part of a collective effort from group of athletes and influencers, known as The Asterisk Collective.
In the loss, Mitchell scored 34 points and threw down some nasty dunks.
