Utah State is one of five schools in the country to be ranked nationally in the AP Poll entering the NCAA Tournament, while also having the football team finish the season in the Top 25 ranking. They join Cincinnati, LSU, Kentucky and Michigan.
This Utah State team is the eighth in school history to be nationally ranked, joining the 1959-60, 1960-61, 1970-71, 2003-04, 2008-09 and 2010-11 teams. The highest ranking in school history was the 1959-60 season when they were No. 7 in the country.
They are currently on a 10-game winning streak, which is tied with Iona for eighth-longest active winning streak in the nation. Wofford’s 20-game winning streak is the longest active streak in the country.
Four schools ranked in Final AP Polls in both Football & Men’s Basketball – LSU, Michigan, Kentucky, and UTAH STATE. Congrats to @USUBasketball & @USUFootball. #AggiesAllTheWay
